Do Not Wait

Never let age or maturity level be an excuse to follow Christ. I've seen countless teenagers and young adults pursue evil desires all through high school and college just because the world says it is okay. In today's world young people are supposed to "enjoy" life while they're young meaning they should participate in sinful, foolish acts.

Many of them think that they will have plenty of time to be a true Christian when they are older, but do they not know that tomorrow is never guaranteed? Why live so foolishly when you know good and well how you are supposed to live in Christ? Do not let age be the factor of deciding to trust in God. Attending church every Sunday and Wednesday is not good enough either. That is a great thing, but we must also put to death our sinful desires! Getting drunk, high, and breaking the law is not something that should be fun to a Christian. Do not let the world tell you what a teenager and young adult should do with their life, rather look to God for the guidance that He will gladly share. Put your trust in God as soon as you can so that He can do amazing things through you! Never think that He cannot use you due to your maturity level or deepness of faith. Be confident in what you know in the Lord, and He will use that to build your faith. God will test your faith and the testing of the faith leads to perseverance, which leads to maturity as said in James 1:3-4. Young Christians will face a number of trials and suffering especially in the world we live in today, but I pray that your faith is never broken by it. Let the trials and suffering only build your faith through the comfort and strength the Lord gives you through them. Stand firm in the promises that God gives you and let them serve as confidence for you given to you through the Holy Spirit which is inside you. So no matter how big or small your faith is, remember that your faith comes from God who has also given us the promise of His grace and love. Let faith and love flow through you so that even the smallest of faith will have the biggest impact. I urge teenagers and young adults to commit their lives to follow Jesus now and not to wait for a future that is not certain! The fun times you have on this earth will be nothing compared to the joy you will receive allowing God to work through you.
