Be the Light

Sinful is the world today. So dark and scary that the light of the Lord has been thrown into a pit of ungratefulness. People do not realize the love Jesus has for them and they reject that love daily. Christians become caught up in the worldly nature that they forget to shine the light of God on humanity.

We as Christians are told by Jesus to be the light in dark times and sadly those dark times are always upon us. Satan has such a hold on the world that his darkness spreads by the minute. Why not fight back with the light that we have? After all this light inside us is powerful enough to overcome anything Satan has to oppose us. We are filled with the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit that filled Paul, Philip, and Stephen as they boldly shared the word of God with everyone they encountered. We too can boldly share as they did because God has not changed and never will! Every miracle that Peter performed was through his incredible faith. Guess what? We too can have that same faith! We are capable of amazing things if we have faith in Jesus Christ and are filled with the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we are so scared to follow God and trust Him that we find comfort in our sin. I urge you to never be comfortable with sin! Find comfort in Jesus! He will never let you down if you trust in Him. Picking up our cross and following Jesus can be difficult and will be filled with suffering and sorrow but look at the bigger picture. Take a step back and think about who you are following! Jesus Christ the savior of the world who has the power to destroy anything and anyone who opposes you. Yahweh and Messiah who has overwhelming love that will never fail you. The God who has no rival and no equal. The God who will reign forever and ever! That is who you are trusting and following! Those sorrows and sufferings will seem like nothing compared to the love of Jesus. I stand in awe of how awesome, amazing, and loving our God is. So let us all do as we as Christians are told and go be the light in this dark world showing people where real comfort comes from.
